Cape May Artist Enjoyed Watercolor
Barbara Cartwright, a former resident of Cape May Retirement Village, was an accomplished artist for more than 30 years. Barbara was a set designer for the Ann Arbor Civic Theater in the 1950s, and, after moving to California, was elected president of the Santa Barbara Art Association. Her artwork hangs in the Cartwright Learning Center at the Santa Barbara City College. More recently, as a resident of the Cape May Retirement Village, Barbara's artwork was selected twice for the Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services' Resident Art Calendar. In the 2012 edition of the OPRS Calendar, Barbara's artwork is featured for the month of February.
Sadly, Barbara passed away on December 7, 2011.
