October is National Pastor Appreciation Month and as part of this celebration, I would like to thank the thousands of clergy throughout Ohio and the nation who help us all throughout our spiritual journeys.
I am also grateful to our eight OPRS Chaplains who often serve as primary clergy to OPRS residents. One great example of this ministry (and we have lots!) is OPRS Chaplain Jan Ledford’s spiritual role at Llanfair, the OPRS community in Cincinnati illustrated by a story about one of our residents.
Slutz Named Corporate Director of Human Resources for Senior Independence; To serve as Labor Relations Liaison for OPRS
Scott Slutz has been promoted to a corporate human resources management position for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS). He has been named Corporate Director of Human Resources for Senior Independence, a wholly owned subsidiary of OPRS and as the Corporate Labor Relations Liaison for OPRS. Prior to accepting his new responsibilities, Slutz served as Regional Human Resources Director for Park Vista of Youngstown; Rockynol in Akron; and Lake Vista of Cortland; all OPRS continuing care retirement communities. In his new role, Slutz will support Senior Independence in achieving organizational growth, corporate objectives and quality enhancement.

Jennifer B. Howell has been named Senior Human Resources Director for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS). Prior to accepting this executive human resources management position, Howell was the Human Resources Director at Westminster Thurber, an OPRS Community.
